Kat Quin Merewether from Design on Q, a Te Awamutu based design and illustration studio hired PS STUDIO DPI to capture her portrait and the team in their work environment for use on their new website and to accompany a new book Kat has just illustrated. We even did an impromptu homage to the late Steve Jobs by way of a portrait of Kat. We were and still are both huge admirers of what he did at Apple. Enjoy this selection of photos.

The WRU Waikato Sevens Team got in touch to have their team photo taken after their much anticipated prestigious overseas tournament at Melrose, Scotland. It was a pleasure to be on the sidelines capturing the game in pictures on Saturday afternoon. What a game! Steven Donald was the star player of the day. Great to catch my friend and Coach for the team, Chris Gibbes and his family after the game for a quick portrait too. Looking forward to the final this weekend!

I just picked up a new camera for my travels. The Lumix GF2 with interchangeable lenses. Had a play in the garden yesterday wandering around with the new toy. Imported the photos into the iPad to edit a little, crop here, colour change there… I’m impressed with the speed of the camera and the quality of the images from the f2.0 lens is quite remarkable for a consumer camera. This will definitely be going everywhere on my travels. I mean, I love making pictures with my iPhone and hipstamatic but I am missing my bad boy DSLR while away so this is my lightweight substitute!
